Photography is a personal passion I’ve had for most of my life, an interest that my father encouraged by lending me a small rangefinder when I was very young. I have used that camera to shoot hundreds of rolls of film over the years, and I still have it today. Most of the images I produced were forgettable, but I showed them to mentors and instructors who gave me valuable feedback and encouragement over the years. It was the start of a lifelong journey.
I’m an unusual mismatch of a lot of things. A runner, cyclist, beer-drinker, swimmer, photographer, writer, translator and editor. As such, I’ve had a lot of occupations over the years: reporter, writer, editor, broker, ice-cream scooper, spin instructor, newspaper delivery kid, census-counter — and a few other occupations along the way. Nearly 10 years ago, I set up a business doing something that has always been in the background of my life: photography. It’s something I’ve always loved.
